The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert O'Connor can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

What a kind, generous sweet man! Under that crusty, prickly hide, lurked a real softie. We are grateful for having known him. He shared his knowledge of gardening, fruit trees, even made a house call to help mark with a sharpie marker the proper pruning cuts we needed to do in the spring and gave us rodent guards for the young trees, reminding us to paint the trunks with white latex paint to keep the sap from rising too early in the spring. And he grew Rutgers tomato plants from seeds to share with us. And also shared his current boat building adventures and repairs for the young speed demons who prized his boats and their speed above their personal safety. He did live life to the fullest, and as much as possible, on his own terms. He sure is going to be missed! We are thinking of you Pearl, and wishing you well. Above everything else, even his boats, he really did love you! Cheryl VanMessel and Charles Bross
