Understanding Your Funeral Options During COVID-19

Understanding Your Funeral Options During COVID-19

Much like businesses in other industries, funeral homes have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus has put us to the test over the last few months, greeting us with many obstacles to overcome. At Wiles Remembrance Centers, we are doing everything we can to ensure that the families we serve are receiving the quality care they deserve. We will make sure your family is able to say goodbye properly.

Flexibility of Our Services

This is a very difficult time to be planning a funeral. In order to make this process easier on your family, we have increased the flexibility of our services. Firstly, we will not be charging anyone for a rescheduling of services. This will allow you to make changes to your plans at any time. Memorial services can be held at a later date, even in 2021, if the current COVID-19 restrictions do not allow for you to honor your loved one in the manner you had hoped to. We are willing to do everything within our means to help your families through this difficult time.

Technological Improvements to Our Services

COVID-19 has made the entire funeral and memorial service process difficult for families. Because of this, we have upgraded our technology so we can serve you seamlessly during this incredibly difficult time. Here are some new technological improvements we’ve added to our list of services to help your family:

ZOOM Arrangements

We have incorporated ZOOM arrangements in to our services to ease any stress you may have about visiting the funeral home to arrange a funeral. Rather than having an in-person arrangement meeting, we are able to offer you virtual meetings via ZOOM. This eliminates all risk of the unnecessary spread of COVID-19 by allowing you to meet with us from the comfort of your own home via computer or phone.

Arrange Online

Taping of Ceremonies

Our staff would be happy to record the service for you. This will allow those who could not make it – whether due to the COVID-19 restrictions or prior engagements – to watch a recording of the ceremonies at their leisure.

Live Streaming

Unfortunately, not everyone who would like to come to the service will be able to. This is due to the state’s current COVID-19 guidelines. In order to combat this issue, we will provide these people with a live stream of the services. This provides them with the opportunity to watch the funeral in real-time.

Our Online RSVP System

Restrictions have been placed on attendance to encourage social distancing at funerals. You can now track the RSVP count with our new online RSVP tool to eliminate the risk of having too many attendees. If this is something you would like to use, please let us know.

In over 30 years of business, we have encountered many obstacles that have forced us to adapt. We will continue to work diligently to provide our community with the best possible funeral and cremation services. Our main priority is your safety during these times. If you have any questions about our services during the COVID-19 pandemic, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. It is our pleasure to serve you.
