Condolence: I would like to offer all of you my sincere condoences on the passing of your Mom. I met your Mom a few years ago when I became employed by the race track where she worked, I sold tickets and she sold the programs. Eleanor and I had fun and a lot of laughing was done, she made it a pleasure to go to work each day. Such a wonderful lady and I know that she will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Barbara Martin

Condolence: I am deeply saddened at hearing of the loss from this world of Eleanor Turner. She had high expectations of me, yet always she accepted me for who I was - mistakes and all. Her home always welcomed me. Her generosity was beyond measure. I regret that I allowed time/distance to keep me from keeping in touch with her over the years. A few months ago, I traveled down Sabbatus St. and wondered, "Does Eleanor still live a couple streets over there? The address 7 Judith St. comes to mind." There are many memories, but the one that looms large in my mind is when back in the summer of 1977 Eleanor and my mother Anna packed up David, Ellen, Lynn, and me and set off from NORTH Chesterville to Santa's Village in that white and rust-colored Nova. Mom and Eleanor also packed plenty of food; that was the day David and I lugged two huge coolers back through the gift shop...Imagine it... keeping a low profile was out of the question. But we didn't go hungry and we sure had a ton of fun! Eleanor was a very special lady, and I trust that all of you will be comforted by your own memories and the legacy she left with all of us. God bless you! Sincerely, Mary Shardlow Hyland, MBHS - Class of 1978

Condolence: To Eleanor's family, I remember your mother with great fondness. She and your father were good friends when we all used to get together at the Lamkin's for a little snowmobiling and good pot luck suppers. I recently came across a photo of the whole family before you lost your Dad and it stirred nice memories. She loved him deeply and we all felt her deep loss. I am thinking of you all and send my condolences. Sincerely, Betsy Graves
