Eleanor  Turner
Eleanor N. Turner, 78, a long-time resident of the Old Orchard Beach area, died of renal disease Wednesday, July 23, 2011 at Heritage Hall South Nursing Home. She was born on May 14, 1933 in Stamford, CT. She was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Gardella) Wright. Eleanor moved to Chesterville, ME at the age of 14, met and immediately began dating her future husband, Durward Turner (1933 – 1971). They married on October 24, 1953 and had five children together. Eleanor led a very simple life that revolved around family and friends. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish choir, loved reading and flower arranging. Her family is very grateful for the care she received at Southern Maine Medical Center, Seal Rock Health Care and then at Heritage Hall South in Western Massachusetts. She is survived by five children, eight grandchildren and two great children. There will be no funeral services held. Private interment will take place at Webster Cemetery in Farmington, ME.
