FARMINGTON-Clara M. Drown, 91, of North Jay, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born on July 27, 1919 in East Dixfield, the daughter of Walter and Bessie (Rich) Wright. She was educated at Severy Hill school in East Dixfield. On May 22, 1942, she married, Lendall Drown and they made their home in Dixfield where they owned and operated Savage’s Garage. For the last 25 years, they lived in North Jay. Clara enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and most of all spending many happy times with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lendall Drown of Farmington; two daughters, Maxine Wyman and her husband, Milford of North Jay and Blinda Burgess and her husband, Bill of Quincy, MA; a granddaughter, Dawn McArthur and her husband, Ralph of Farmington; great grandchildren, Elizabeth McArthur and her companion, Brian of North Jay, Evan, Elliott, Emily and Erica McArthur all of Farmington and Brandon Wyman of Ashland; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Helen Goding, Eulalia Vining, Roland Wright and Edwin Wright; a son, Wayne; a daughter, Donna; a granddaughter Wendy Wyman; a grandson, Michael Wyman. Clara’s family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff and residents of Edgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center for the wonderful care they gave her during her time there. Also, thank you to special friends, Beverly and “Buddy” York and the Bean’s Corner Baptist church family. Words of condolence and tribute may be shared with her family at www.wilesrc.com. DROWN-died at Farmington, Fri., May 13, 2011, Clara M., 91, of North Jay. Funeral services will be held, 4PM, Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton with Pastor Ira Hall, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Dixfield.
