DIXFIELD-Orson West “Orka” Storer, 77, of Dixfield, died peacefully at his home in Dixfield on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 He was born on Aug. 31, 1933, in Weld, a son of Cola and Esther Storer. He attended Weld schools and went on to serve in the US Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for many years in the woods as a logger and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes with his family and friends. He will be remembered by his friends as the mayor of the West Brook Rd. Orson is survived by his children, Barbara Ellis and her husband, Mike of Peru, Debra Storer of Dixfield, Tammy Storer Holman of Dixfield and Matthew Storer of Dixfield; three grandchildren, Tyler Richardson, Trevor McLeod, and his little angel, Nyla Abbott all of Dixfield; siblings, Tim Storer of Weld, Joe Storer and his wife, Thelma of Weld, Ruth Royal of AZ and Lillian Nile of Farmington; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Jean Virgin Storer; a son, Donald West Storer; 8 sisters; three brothers; his step-mother, Janet Dexter Storer. Interment will be later in the spring at the Robertson Cemetery in Weld. Arrangements are in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, 42 Weld St., Dixfield.
