The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Callahan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Molly Callahan
Condolence: I doubt I could pick a favorite moment with my dad. There are, truthfully, many. Maybe my favorite is hiking up to the top of the mountain he always climbed for the first time. Looking out at the view with him by my side and the dogs prancing around us like it was their first time, too, though I know it wasn't. Or maybe it was a vague memory I have of years ago. Lying on my parents bedroom floor when I was five and he taught me the Lord's Prayer, saying that it was not a bunch of words to rush through with haste. It was poetry. It was something that with each word you said, you ponder and mull over what you have said. It is just like life. Something to think about and something to remember. Something to cherish and love, just as we all should with all we lose and say good bye to for the time being.
