The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lula Manzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Donna Simpson

Rocky and family, I am sorry for the loss of your mother; from what I've read she was a remarkable woman. I am thinking of you today because our families are connected in unexpected ways. In 1985, I got a Labrador Retriever from your kennel. The pup was a gift for my parents but my mother died 2 days after you called me to say that the pup was ready to be picked up. The puppy came to us on the day Mom was buried- August 5th- your mother's birthday. That dog, named Boots, brought much joy and comfort to my father for the next 2 years, until Dad died on September 19, 1987; your mother's memorial service will be this September 19th. Well, Boots lived with me, giving me comfort and joy until his 13th year. But the best connection between our families: Adam McKay is married to my niece, Brooke (Simpson) McKay. This is a small and complex world. Perhaps our paths will cross again in other unexpected circumstances. Donna Simpson, Auburn, Maine
