Farmington – Lillian Ethel Clemens, 83, of Wilton, died Wednesday morning at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born in Wilton, January 19, 1931, a daughter of Desire and Gladys (Welch) Quirrion and received her education in the “White Schoolhouse” graduating in 1945. She later attended Wilton Academy. On May 24, 1947, she married John T. Clemens, Jr in Wilton. He died April 27, 2008. Mrs. Clemens cleaned Franklin Savings Bank in Wilton for many years.. She was an accomplished artist and took multiple art classes in the area as well as giving art lessons. She took great care of her family and was known to be the family “babysitter.” She is survived by her children, John Maynard Clemens and his wife Shirley of NH, Dale R. Clemens and his wife Sally of Wilton, and Kathy Lynn Clemens-Goulette of Wilton; two step-children, Harland T. Clemens and his wife, Nancy of Chesterville and Hazel Flagg and her husband, Lincoln of Wilton; grandson, Nicholas Clemens and his wife, Emily of Wilton; several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieices and nephews; two sisters, Myrtle Tourtelotte of Farmington and Jeanette Rand of Wilton; a brother, Donald Herbert Quirrion and his wife, Dorothy of Jay; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Quirrion of Wilton; She is also survived by her cherished cat, Jack. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Philias Quirrion and a son-in-law, David Joseph Goulette. Condolences, tributes, photos and a memorial video may be shared on her memorial wall at www.wilesrc.com. Clemens – died at Farmington, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, Lillian Ethel Clemens, 83, of Wilton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High Street, Wilton, with Rev. Ira Hall, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Center, one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton. Following the interment, a gathering will be held at the home of Kathy Clemens-Goulette, 165 Davis Road, Jay. The family suggests that those who desire give memorial gift’s in Lillian’s memory to the charity of their choice.
