Condolence: Just received a copy of the Farmington First, UMF Alumni magazine and was shocked to see John’s name in Memoriam. John and I were in many geology classes together at UMF, but I really got to know John on a group trip to the Pacific Northwest. We were packed in like sardines amongst our gear in UMF vans with other geology enthusiasts, most of us hadn’t bathed in days, if not weeks… but John was always smiling and laughing. I remember his laughter like it was yesterday. Although we lost touch after graduation, John was never forgotten. My deepest condolences go out to his family; he was lost far too young.

Condolence: I sit on my couch walking through my memories of working with John over the last ten years. I have been texting him for my new project without a response so I decided to investigate. A tear comes to my eye as I write this and see his face. He always smiled as he smelled the soil and walked through the woods with me. Dad Walked with us on my first project. Never had the pleasure of meeting his family I hope you all keep his smile. Sorry for your lose. Tooth will be missed.
