The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Gee can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Kitty, Evelyn, Michael, Pam, Janie, Pat, Chrissy and family members, From my first visit in a snowstorm (and a really bad one!), John and Kitty drove over from their home to meet Ev and me in Augusta for dinner. We were on our way to Bangor from Connecticut for a work project. He lit up our meal with his curiosity, Maine charm and wit. I was worried about the winds and snow piling up...."no need to worry, just take it slow....". I thought this must be the Maine way. So, we carried on laughing, having the time of our lives. The highway eventually shut down and we seemed to be the only ones out on the roads and yes,we heeded John's sage advice. I so enjoyed the company of this wonderful Maine father who loved his daughter to travel out in a wild winter night's storm just to have a few precious minutes with a loved one. I was so touched by his warmth and kindness that its made an indelible impression.. Thank you, John Gee, for showing what true caring can really be. Kathy Coleman and Bob Howe
