Obituary for Joanne Osgood

WATERVILLE – Joanne Joyce Osgood, 75, of Anson, passed on the evening of Thurs., Sept. 29, 2011 at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville where she had resided for three months, following a long journey with Alzheimers disease. She was born at the family home in Anson, Maine on March 11, 1936, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Savage) Tracy. She received her education in local schools and was married to the late Jack Osgood. He predeceased her in 2002. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and enjoyed baby sitting for many local children throughout the years in the New Portland area. She and Jack loved camping on many remote ponds in Northern Maine and for a couple of years were gate keepers at Cobbs Camps in Pierce Pond. Over the years they owned several dogs that they loved as much as their own children. Joanne is survived by her mom, Elizabeth “Liz” Tracy of New Vineyard; her children: Fred Lesperance and his wife, Jo of Industry and their children Erica and Nathan; Larry Lesperance and his wife, Estelle of Madison and their children Wade and Derek; Sherry Charrier and her husband, Louis of Cornville and their children Billie Jo and Jessica; Kenneth Osgood and his wife, Lori of Madison and their children Chantelle and Jenna and Ronda Osgood of Montana and her children Bobbi Sue, Corey, and Matt, and the children of her late son Reggie Lesperance, Sean and Kylie; 12 great-grandchildren and a brother, John Tracy and his wife, Leona of Pittsfield. a special friend, George Waldeck of New Portland. She was blessed to have been lovingly cared for by her oldest granddaughter, Billie Jo, for the last three years. OSGOOD – died, at Waterville, 9/29/2011, Joanne J. Osgood, 75,of Anson. Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM.
