LIVERMORE -- Jeffrey M. Riggs, 63, of Livermore, passed away suddenly and peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday June 17. He was a Christmas baby, born on Dec. 25, 1950 in Jay, a son of Warren and Marion Riggs. He was a 1969 graduate of Jay High School and from 1970-1972 was stationed in Germany where he served in the US Army. On May 24, 1996, he married Doreen Harris in Mechanic Falls. Jeff worked in are shoe shops, Tex Tech in Winthrop and Safe Handling in Auburn, prior to and until 2007 He enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, spending time in Rangeley with Doreen, yard "sailing" (as he would call it); looking for tools and other "good deals" and seeing new projects that his son was working on. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Doreen, of Livermore; his children: Rob Riggs and his wife, Jen of Livermore; Wendy Todd and her husband, Rob of Michigan; daughter, Tia McCulley and her husband, Kevin of Lewiston; son Ben Harris and his wife, Lindsay of Minot; sisters Cynthia Richards of Lewiston; Brenda Dorey and her husband, Warren of Jay; and Rolinda Hewins and her husband, Floyd of Livermore Falls; five grandchildren: Chelsie Riggs, Bryan Riggs, Katrina Riggs, Nathan Todd and Jocelyn Todd; his mother and father-in-law, Ken and Frances Perkins of Mechanic Falls; many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his cats Muffie and "his little squeak".. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Lawson Riggs and brother-in-law, Larry Richards. RIGGS -- died, at Livermore 6/17/2014, Jeffrey M. Riggs, 63 of Livermore. Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Rd., (Rte.133) Jay on Sunday from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Center on Monday morning at 11 AM with Rhonda Wiles-Rosell as celebrant. Committal services with full military honors will be held at the Stubbs Mills Cemetery, East Jay. Following services, all are welcome to attend a family reception at his home in Livermore. Remembrance gifts may be given to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society 55 Strawberry Ave. Lewiston, Me. 04240.
