AUBURN – Jeffery Paul McBean, 27, of Mechanic Falls, died heroically Saturday April 16, 2011, at the Hospice House, with his loving family and close friends by his side, following a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born July 21, 1983, in Strong, a son of Galen and Mary (Lemieux) McBean. He was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On April 12, 2011, four days before his passing, he married his best friend and love of his life, Amanda Jordan. Jeff was employed as a Pharmacy Technician for Wal Mart in Auburn for the past five years. He was an honorary member of SAC (Sirois Adventure Camp) and enjoyed outdoor sports such as camping, hiking, disc golf, polish horseshoes and volleyball. He was passionate about music and loved pool, darts, Xbox and photography. He was an enthusiastic member of Red Sox Nation and a fan of the Celtics. He will most notably be remembered for his unique sense of humor, contagious laugh and smile, personal strength and outlook on life. Jeffery will forever remain an inspiration and role model to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Amanda and step-daughter, Kylee Jordan of Mechanic Falls; his parents Galen and Mary McBean of Auburn; brothers Marrhew McBean of Auburn and Andrew McBean and his wife, Heather of Norway; nephews Owen of York and Gage of Norway; best friend and “partner in crime”, Ray Howes and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless wonderful and dear friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Vincent and Elizabeth Lemieux of Wilton and Wendell and Gayle McBean of Farmington. Special thanks to the incredible staff at The Patrick Dempsey Center for Healing and Hope, Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice House Staff, Pastors Roger Cousineau and Tim Howard of East Auburn Baptist Church and for the support the McBean family has so graciously received from so many. McBEAN – died, 4/16/2011, Jeffery Paul McBean, 27, of Mechanic Falls. Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Rd. (Rte. 133), Jay, Tuesday 3-6 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM from the East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave., Auburn, with Pastor Tim Howard officiating. Following services, a reception will be held at the Poland Spring Museum, Preservation Way, Poland Spring, Maine. All are welcome.
