Auburn – Hazel E. Boutilier, 92, of Rangeley, passed peacefully Friday afternoon, April 1 with her family by her side at the Hospice House. She was born March 19, 1919, the youngest child of Vincent and Estelle Mason. On June 27, 1936, she married Mondell C. Boutilier and together they had four children. She was a fine homemaker and a nurturing Mother. She loved her cat Pixy, who passed April 2. Hazel will be remembered as a very sweet lady. She is survived by three children, Ronald of West Paris, Cheryl of Lisbon, and Stephen of New York; a daughter-in-law, Edna of Rangeley; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; all of her siblings; a son, James M. Boutilier; a granddaughter, Diane Boutilier and a great grandson, Shawn Skinner. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Chapel of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Main Street, Rangeley on Wednesday from 1-2pm. Graveside services will be held later in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Rangeley. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who desire, make memorial contributions to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Road, Farmington, ME 04938. Funeral services are being cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington.
