New Portland – Florence Hall, 83, of Bog Road, passed away early Saturday evening at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She previously had been a resident of Edgewood Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Farmington for the past year, where she enjoyed participating in many activities. Florence retired from HG Winter and Sons mill and was a long-time member and greeter at the United Methodist Church in Kingfield. Florence enjoyed going with her Kingfield Senior friends to the country music jam sessions at the Salem Community Building and especially like going for pizza and seeing her grandsons, Kenny and John. She and her late husband, Emery, enjoyed their gardens and bee keeping together. They also ran a teen center for several years at what is now Ayotte’s General Store in Carrabassett Valley. She is survived by her son, John Hall and his wife, Margaret of Bath; her daughters, Joyce Werblin of Salem and Mikaela Alexander of Waterville; sisters-in-law, Laura Dunham and her husband, Howard of Kingfield, Marilyn Clark of NH, Nola Wilson of Old Town, and Barbara Wilson of MA; son-in-law, Pete Louiselle of New Portland; brother, Robert Wilson of Ellsworth; sisters, Bea Campbell and her husband Arthur of Spring Hill, FL, Mildred Garland of Guilford, and Ruth Brooke of Clinton. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Emery; a daughter, Judy Louiselle; sisters, Lillian LaBrie, Eveleyn Casey, Eva Priest; brothers, Walter Wilson, Fred Wilson, Charlie Wilson, and Elmer Wilson; also a half-brother and sister, Aubrey Wilson and Marguerite Miller. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the Kingfield United Methodist Church. The family asks that those who desire make memorial contributions in Florence’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 US Rt. 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074. Family and friends are invited to leave words of condolences on her memorial wall at www.wilesrc.com. Cremation services are being care for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington.
