FARMINGTON – Diane Beedy Weeks, 69, of Farmington, passed peacefully, with family at her side, at daybreak on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, where she had resided for the last 27 months. She was born Jan. 6, 1945, at her folks homestead in Wilton, a daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Butterfield) Beedy. Together, they enjoyed working the family farm and raising their three sons. In their early retirement years, they built a log home in Farmington with trees that had been lumbered from their own property. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church for over 30 years and served as a church pianist. She was a member of the Gideon Auxiliary and the Wilson Grange #321 of East Wilton. She enjoyed farm life and will be remembered for riding her horses in many local parades. Her piano playing was a true gift that in her later years was of great comfort to her. Diane enjoyed travelling with her husband, but her favorite place to be was on her front deck, overlooking this beloved land that she called home.
