Wilton – Bonnie P. Lewis, 64, of Wilton, died early Saturday morning surrounded by her family. She was born in Carbondale, PA, Sept. 12, 1946, a daughter of late John and Edith (Wilson) Price and predeceased by her sister Linda Price. Bonnie graduated from Greene Dreher High School in Newfoundland and attended Mansfield University. Ms. Lewis worked as a secretary for the District Magistrate for several years and then was elected District Magistrate herself. She retired after 24 years of dedicated service to the Honesdale Community as the Honorable Bonnie P. Lewis. In addition to her public service Ms. Lewis, loved to help people, in fact, dedicated her life to it. Bonnie was an avid sports fan who loved Honesdale Community sports, Penn State, da’ Bears, but especially Walter Payton. Bonnie enjoyed auctions, yard sales, knitting and collecting Christmas ornaments. She is survived by her children, Jodi Cordes and her husband, Robert of Wilton and Kyle Lewis and his wife, April of Ashville, NC; a brother, Clayton of PA; 2 sisters, Candace Bauman of PA and Alisa Kay Price of Promised Land, PA; three grandchildren, Madison and Isabelle of Wilton and Skyler of NC. Despite a long-term battle with liver and kidney disease, Bonnie kept a fun-loving and positive attitude. Bonnie lived for her family and friends, she truly touched most everyone she met. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to everyone in the Wilton-area community whose love, care, and support made Bonnie’s transition to Maine welcoming and comfortable. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Monday from 5-7p.m. Funeral services will be held later in Honesdale, PA.
