Crystal River, FL – Benjamin M. Cram, 87, of Crystal River, FL, formerly of Wilton, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Seven Rivers Medical Center. He was born Feb. 13, 1924 in Farmington a son of Elwynn and Addie (Melcher) Cram. Mr. Cram was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII. He and his wife owned and operated Lincoln Hill Manor nursing home in Spencer, MA for many years and he retired from American Optical in Southbridge, MA. He was a member of Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club and he enjoyed hunting in Maine every fall with his son at the family hunting camp and especially enjoyed playing cribbage. Mr. Cram loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Myrtle of Crystal River, FL and Farmington; a son, Kenneth and his wife, Claire of Wilton; daughter, Donna Davis and her husband, Michael of Scituate, MA; 3 grandchildren, Rebecca, Mark, and Karen; 5 great-grandchildren, , Hannah, Emily, Samantha, Jesse, and Wyatt. Condolences and memories may be shared on his memorial wall at www.wilesrc.com. Cram – died at Florida, May 10, 2011, Benjamin M. Cram, 87, of Crystal River, FL, formerly of Wilton. Public memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High Street, Wilton. Private interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be given in Ben’s memory to the Salvation Army, 3975 W. Grover Cleveland Blvd., Homosassa, FL 34446.
