Obituary for Wendal Parlin

Auburn - Wendal E. Parlin, 72, of Canton, passed away August 7, 2022 at the Hospice House in Auburn, He was born June 3, 1950 in Farmington, a son of Harland and Geraldine E. Parlin and graduated from Dirigo High School. Wendal, regardless of his circumstances, was a happy, humble, positive, helpful, and loving person. He like to hunt birds and deer. Everyday, he enjoyed his coffee and lottery ticket, as well as checking his mail and seeing Kathleen at the Post Office. He will be missed by many, many people in Canton.

Wendal worked at the Tannery in Canton and later at Livermore Shoe. He also ran a cleaning service. His most important job was being a handyman for a host of people in his hometown of Canton.

He had a son, Randall Parlin whom he missed and loved dearly.

He is survived by his two sisters, Paula Young and Vicki Parlin; his brother-in-law, Gregory Young, Sr.; and nephews, Gregory Young, Jr. and Robert Young.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, October 29 at 10 am from the Canton Baptist Church. Memories may be shared in his Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com. Cremation care has been provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.
