Laconia, NH – Timothy Jay Turner, “Tim” age 56, of Chesterville, died on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Lakes Region Concord Hospital in Laconia, NH, following a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
He was born Oct. 9, 1965, in Farmington a son of Jack and Faylene (Neal) Turner, Sr. He received his education in Farmington schools and for several years worked as a woodsman and handyman. He truly enjoyed and perfected the art of “junking” and was considered by family and friends as a “Jack of all trades”.
On August 3, 2007, he married Julie Berry in St. Johnsbury, VT.; they considered each other their best friend.
He was a true Mainer and enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter months. He was also a stock car enthusiast. The title and role that he most enjoyed in his life was that of “Papa”, the name given to him by his only grandchild, Blaine. They had a very special bond that will always be remembered and cherished.
He is loved by his wife, Julie, of Chesterville; his son, Nathan “Nate” Turner and his companion, Jazzmin Jewell of Jay; a daughter, Brandy Turner and her companion, Mark McCrillis and their son, Blaine Adam McCrillis, all of Farmington; his mother, Faylene Greenough of Farmington; a brother Jack Turner, Jr. and his wife, Roxanne of Fayette; two sisters: Tammy Turner and her companion, Ron Holland of Wilton and Lisa Walsh and her husband, Erik Walsh of Chesterville; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Jack Turner, Sr.,T; a sister, Sherry Turner; a nephew, Trevor Collins and his best friend Louis Cousins.
There will be no services. Remembrance gifts may be given to the ALS Fdt., Northern New England Chapter, PO Box 207 Concord, NH 03302-0207. Cremation Care Services are in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., (Rtes. 2 & 27) Farmington. Memories may be shared in his Book of memories at www.wilesrc.com.
