Obituary for Theodore "Ted" Lawrence

Theodore N. “Ted” Lawrence, 90, of Hope, RI, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021, at his son’s home in Rangeley, Maine. Born in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, to the late Theodore “Frankie” and Regina (Boucher) Lawrence, he was the loving husband of 58 years to the late Margaret I. (Greene), 91.
He worked for Marshall Contractors and was a member of the Laborer’s Union for almost 70 years. He was a Korean War veteran. He, along with his wife, worked the craft circuit as the “Crafty Couple” for 14 years and owned a nursery business. Ted was a skilled landscaper and woodworker and he used his skills to give back to the community of Hope. He was also a Boy Scout leader and an active member of both the Hope Associates and the Hope Historical Society.
Ted was a loving husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children, Pete Lawrence and his wife Lisa, Patty Dalmazzi and her husband Tony and Terry Belanger and her husband Ken, five grandchildren: Sarah, Katie, Kassy, Nicole and Milana, and two great-grandchildren Malia and Mason, and his sister Irene Jones and her husband Jack. He is predeceased by his brother Leo “Buster” Lawrence and his sister Sharon Rud.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Health Center at Kent Hospital, 455 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, RI 02886, with donations made payable to “WIN” (Women in Need).
