Obituary for Susan Tracy

CHESTERVILLE – Susan J. “Snapper” Tracy, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at her daughter’s home with her family by her side.

She was born July 16, 1946, in Farmington, a daughter of Roland K. and Frances (Weathern) Lothrop. She graduated from Wilton Academy and began her career as a Stitcher, starting at Livermore Falls Shoe and eventually Farmington Shoe.

Where there was music, Susan could be found. She really loved to sing and would never turn down an opportunity to belt out a few good karaoke tunes with her friend Kelly.

She is survived by her children; Steve Tracy and his companion Rhonda Harris, Melissa Russell and her husband Nate, Peggy Wright and her husband Wesley, and Larry Dustin; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and Richard Meserve’s children, Jeffrey Meserve and his wife Michelle, Diane Dunn and her husband James, and Tonja-Sue Bachelor and her husband Joseph. She was preceded in death by her companion and life partner of 34 years, Richard “Red” Meserve; a son, Michael Tracy; and her karaoke partner and good friend, Kelly Houlihan.

There will be a Celebration of Life and Potluck on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm at AMVETS Hall, 111 Main Street, Jay, ME 04239.
