Obituary for Sharon Dionne (Miles)
FARMINGTON, ME - Sharon Lee Miles passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Woodlands Senior Living, Memory Care Center in Farmington, Maine. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on June 5, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of William and Lillian (Wright) Miles.
Sharon was educated in New Britain schools and graduated from New Britain High School in 1968. She was a stay-at-home mom for her two sons and later worked in the mailroom at Orion in Farmington, Connecticut.
She was predeceased by her parents and her Aunt Marjorie Wenz.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Hespelein and husband Jon; her two sons, Jeffrey Dionne and his wife Nancy, of Farmington, Maine and Eric Dionne and his fiancée Becky Joyce of Southington, Connecticut; granddaughters, Amber and Megan Dionne and several cousins. She is also survived by her former husband, Gerald Dionne of Plantsville, Connecticut; former sister-in-law Nancy Covini and husband Dennis and their children Melissa and Brian Covini; and former brother-in-law Richard Dionne and husband Ron.
Sharon was an avid dog lover. She grew up having dogs and had animals her whole life. She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren. She had a quick wit and loved to make jokes. She enjoyed vacations with her family on the lake in Maine and camping in the summer in Connecticut.
During her time at Woodlands, Sharon was always outgoing and loved to help the staff and assist new residents to Woodlands. She loved to be with people and always had a smile. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and their memories of her will be with them forever.
A Graveside Service for Sharon will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain, Connecticut.
