Obituary for Robert Perry

Farmington - Robert George Perry, 96, of Farmington, died Monday morning at his home in Farmington. He was born in Wilton, March 24, 1925, a son of Dan and Lena (White) Perry and attended Wilton schools. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during WWII and was stationed in Panama for 28 months. On June 12, 1948, he married Marjorie Eunice Hardy and they made their home for a time in Moxie Gore where he worked in the woods and later moved to St. Albans where they lived for over 40 years; She passed in 1977 and in 2011 Robert moved to Farmington to be closer to family. Mr. Perry also worked as a hand sewer and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing and camping and in his later years. enjoyed gathering with family every week on Sunday's at Burger King in Farmington. Small things in life made him happy.
He is survived by his son, Allan Perry and his wife, Karen of Harpswell; and a sister, Irene Weld of Dixfield; He was predeceased by a daughter, Berlinda Carsley; a sister, Doris Cushman; and brothers, Joe Orman Perry and Donald Perry. Committal services will be held on Sunday, August 1 at 1 pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton. Cremation care has been cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington.
