Obituary for Raymond Gould

Sumner – Raymond F. Gould, 96, formerly of East Jay, died early Tuesday evening at his son’s home in Sumner. He was born at his parents’ home in East Livermore, July 5, 1926, a son of Clyde (Everett) and Florence (Cash) Gould and received his education in Livermore Falls schools. He worked at Wilton Woolen Mill for many years in the refinishing department and later as a custodian at International Paper Co. in Jay. He was a bee keeper, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the St. Andrews Society of Maine. He was a veteran of the United State Navy, having served in WWII.
He is survived by his son, Dennis Gould of Sumner; daughter, Marie Macomber of East Jay; sister, Mary Moulton of Livermore Falls; grandchildren, Isaac, Micheala, Eddie, Jr., and Crystal; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; He was predeceased by his wife, Irene; siblings, Donald, Meredith Chicoine, Alice Hunt, and Florence Gould.
Private interment will be at the Stubbs Mills Cemetery in East Jay. Cremation care has been provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.
