Obituary for Rachael Tripp

Auburn - Rachael Cecelia Tripp, 80, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2023, in Auburn, with family by her side.
Rachael was born on April 9, 1943, in Farmington, Maine to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Dolly) Dill. She spent most of her life in Maine where she raised her four children and worked at Bass Shoe Shop, The Tannery, and Fosters Manufacturing before beginning her career as a CNA. She later continued her education to become a Medication Technician. Rachael retired from The Villa in Canton but continued to work as an In-Home Health Aide until early this year.

Mrs. Tripp was a talented artist, specializing in oil and acrylic painting. She took great pleasure in creating beautiful works of art. Many of her pieces over the years have been entered, and won awards, in art shows and fairs. She created sketches of her children and grandchildren and has gifted much of her work to family and friends.

Rachael was a devout Christian with an intense love for Jesus. She enjoyed going to Bible study with her sisters and writing Christian music. She introduced her children and grandchildren to Christ and took every opportunity to talk about Jesus with them.

She was incredibly devoted to her family, including her late husband Gerald, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and siblings. She was always there for each and every one of them, no matter the need or her own struggles. Rachael was a selfless, generous, and loving woman of God.

Rachael is survived by her daughters Lorna Ranger and Carol-Ann Tibbetts, son Daniel Ryder, and grandchildren Jenna Obie (Stephen), Nicholas Ranger (Samantha), Zachary Ranger, Jessica Little (Justin), Brandon Ryder (June), Erika Pelletier, John Tibbetts (Kristine), and Christopher Tibbetts. She will also be remembered by her siblings Ruth Parks (James), Sylvia Fish, Linwood Dill (Patricia), David Dill (Holly), Dale Dill (Lorie), James Dill, Douglas Dill, and Roger Dill (Arlene) and great-grandchildren Jacob, Carleigh, Benjamin, Asher, Adaline, Connor, Kiana, Camren, and Payton.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Tripp, daughter Catherine Pelletier, parents Ralph and Dorothy Dill, Sister Nelly Reardon, brother Ralph Dill Jr. (Janette), and grandson Ryan Ranger.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rachael's life by attending visitation held at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington on Tuesday, October 10 at 1pm followed by services at 2pm.
