Obituary for Phyllis Boivin

Jay - Phyllis Marie Boivin, 82, of Jay, died early Tuesday morning at her home. She was born in Jay, June 12, 1940, a daughter of Herman David and Rose Marie (Legere) Henry and received her education in local schools. On July 2, 1960, she married Bernard "Nook" Boivin at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.
Mrs. Boivin was a hard-worker, having raised her family and worked at a local shoe shop, as well as in the deli at Hannaford, packing fruit at Berry Hill, and volunteering at the food pantry and working at the polls. She enjoyed her home, working on crafts, painting, and reading. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard "Nook" of Jay; her children, Deb Jewett of Jay, David Boivin of South Portland, and Daniel Boivin of Phillips; 6 grandchildren, Aaron Jewett of New Vineyard, Amanda Luciano of Livermore, Sean Boivin of Rome, Adrienna Boivin, Emma Boivin, and Ellodie Boivin, all of South Portland; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Jenille Thibodeau of Lewiston.
Private family graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 10 am at Birchland Cemetery in North Jay. Cremation care and memorial services are being cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.
