Obituary for Nicole Gardyna

Portland - Nicole Anne Gardyna, 36, of Rumford, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, January 25, 2021. She was born in Farmington, July 3, 1984 and received her education in Farmington schools graduating in 2003. On Oct 2, 2016 she married the love of her life Justin Gardyna and they made their home in Rumford. She worked at Barclay’s in Wilton and later in the housekeeping department at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Lewiston.
Nicole spent the last 6 years of her life, with the love of her life, her husband Justin Gardyna. He was her world, and she was so incredibly proud to be his wife. Nicole loved being a mom to her dog daughter Talia too. She was known for her talent and skills with baking and her award-winning cupcakes. Nicole had an empathetic heart of gold, was always putting smiles on the faces of those around her. She would never miss an opportunity to add her sarcasm, wit, and humor to a lighthearted situation. Nicole was an adoring aunt to her 4 nephews and niece. She would never miss an opportunity to spoil and share her love of superheroes and cartoons with them. Nicole was also an incredible sister. She loved and cared for her siblings dearly. Nicole was always an incredible support and guide through the years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Justin Gardyna and (dog) daughter Talia of Rumford; Her loving parents, father Ronald McArthur and step mother Antoinette of Waldoboro and mother Beth (Corey) McArthur of Farmington; Her sisters Samantha McArthur of Farmington, Vanessa McArthur and husband Benjamin Mortimer-Gibson of Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada and Ava McArthur of Waldoboro; Niece Madison Hamner; and nephews, Aiden Hamner, Jason Mortimer-Gibson of Uxbridge, Ontario Canada, James McArthur of Farmington and Richard Brooks of Chattanooga, TN; Grandmother Victoria Corey of Farmington and grandmother Shirley Robinson of Wilton; Mother-in-law Carol Little and husband Michael of Haverhill, MA; sisters-in-law Amanda Little of Haverhill, MA and Jessica Brooks and husband Casey Brooks of Chattanooga, TN. Nicole was proceeded by Great-grandmother Mary Anne Violette, Orono and grandfathers John Corey, Farmington and Darryl Robinson of Wilton; aunt Sandra Fletcher of New Vineyard, ME

A time of Remembrance for family and friends will be held at Life’s Perks Coffee Shop, Main Street, Wilton, time to be determined at a later date (in accordance with state and federal Covid-19 guidelines). A graveside funeral service for immediate family will be held this spring at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
