Obituary for Lloyd Webster

STARKS - Lloyd Clayton Webster, 69 of Starks Maine, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of November 30th. Lloyd was born on November 1, 1953 to Clarence and Ella Webster in Farmington, Maine. Lloyd graduated from Rumford High School in 1972. He then went to Unity College where he earned a degree in Conservation. After graduating he enlisted in the Army where he was later medically discharged.

After being discharged from the Army he started working at Decoster Egg Farm and he met his first wife Shenna. Later they had their only child Shawn Webster in August of 1979. In 2000 Lloyd changed careers and began working in the social work field as a Direct Support Professional. This is where he met his now Daughter-n-law(Charity) and introduced her to his son. (She often tells people about how much she was so thankful for the relationship she had with Lloyd at work that made him want his son to marry her.) In 2012 due to unforeseen circumstances he had to get done working. He did odd jobs for the next several years and then became disabled.

During this time he met his second Wife Carolee Hand and they were happily married on April 1, 2017. Marrying Carolee gained him three more beautiful children Edward, Billie Jo, and George.
Family means everything to Lloyd and he looked forward to every moment spent with them.

Lloyd had a very big heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. It was his love for people that brought his son and love of his life together. Lloyd always strove to put Jesus first in his life and you could often find him reading His Word. He would share this often with his family. He would attend church weekly at The Apostolic Church in Mexico, Maine.

He had a great love for the outdoors, if you asked he would love to go for a swim even if it wasn’t super hot. He loved the art of fishing and it was a favorite pastime with his son and friends. One of his all time favorite things to do was play a good game of cribbage. He didn’t like to lose. He was known for being a caretaker and Carolee says he was a great husband. You could always give Lloyd a good read, some candy and his wife's baked goods and he would be all set. You could often find him at his grandkids sporting events. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and they loved him. He would always text his son in the mornings to check in with him, Shawn says this is one thing he will miss.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Carolee, his son Shawn Webster and his wife Charity, son Edward Hand, daughter Billie Jo Krebs and her husband David, and son George Hand and his life long partner April Carrigan. He has 15 grandchildren Abraham, Samuel, Zachariah, Brooklynn, Jacob, Roger, Mark, Tommy, Krysta, John, Laury, Alexzander, Christopher, and Kalie May. And his 6 great grandchildren Shyne, Kynsey, Cutler, Ripley, Melaine, and Charlie.

He is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Ella Webster, his brother Larry Webster, and his grandson Aiden Roger Hand and grand baby Webster.

Donations can be made to Boston Children’s Orthopedic Department in lieu of flowers in his name and his grandsons name Abraham Webster.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 5:00p.m. at the Apostolic Church of Mexico, 9 Brown Street, Mexico. Online condolences and sympathies may be shared in his Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com.
