Obituary for Linda Wilson (Timberlake)

Lewiston - Linda Della Wilson, 80, of Livermore, Maine, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at D’Youville Nursing Home in Lewiston, Maine, where she had been a resident for several years. Linda was born on November 6, 1942, at the family farm in Livermore, Maine, to Carroll I. and Ruth (Howard) Timberlake. Linda attended local schools and lived most of her life on Turkey Lane in Livermore. She lived a simple life; loved dancing and elephants and dreamed of going to Africa some day.

In September 1959, Linda married Roy Dell Duson of Texarkana, Texas and had one daughter. That marriage ended and she married Benjamin W. Wilson of Woodstock, Maine, on March 19, 1966, and together, they had three sons. Linda and Ben were married over 56 years until Ben’s passing in December 2022.

Linda is survived by her brother, Charles Timberlake (wife Cheryl) of Mt. Vernon, Maine and sister, Sarah Makinen, of Farmington, Maine; her daughter, Dianna Duson Wheeler (husband Mark) of York, Maine; a son, Mark Wilson (wife Jo) of Oakland, Maine; three grandchildren, Jasmine Wheeler Duyar (husband Aziz), of Avon, Ohio; Zachary Wheeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Michael Wilson (wife Natashia), of Livermore, Maine; three step-grandchildren Kayla Wilson of Florida and Kaisha and Ashton Pluard, both of Oakland, Maine. Linda’s great-grandchildren are Kenan, Kerem and Ayla Duyar, all of Avon, Ohio and Tristan and Liam Wilson of Livermore, Maine and four step-grandchildren, all of Florida. Linda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ben; brothers, Melvin Timberlake and Carroll Timberlake and sister, Greta (Timberlake) Morgan; two infant sons, Paul and Neal Wilson; and her sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Wilson.

The family will not be holding a service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask’s that those who desire, consider a donation to your favorite charity in Linda’s name. Memories may be shared in her Book of Memories at www.wilerc.com. Cremation care has been provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.

A private burial will be held in the Spring at Lakeside Cemetery in Livermore, Maine.
