Obituary for Kara Mercer

Kara Lee Anne Mercer
Mexico - Kara L. Mercer, 38, died unexpectedly March 21, 2022, at her home in Mexico, ME. She was born November 26, 1983, in Seaville New Jersey, the first daughter of Thomas Decker and Tacy Taylor.
Kara became a certified nurses assistant in 1996, she adored working with people and making a difference when others couldn’t. She was also a student at the University of Maine at Augusta looking to further her career and become a Nurse. Of all her accomplishments Kara was most proud of being a mother. Her entire being was so elevated when each one came into this world. She did whatever she could to make memories with her family. She loved to camp at Mt. Blue, take the children to Angel Falls, go tubing down the river. Kara was one for the outdoors. It was never too cold for the beach, or a swim. Never a bad time to soak up the sun or catch a tan. She loved her children fiercely and loved her husband madly. Her high school sweetheart, father to her precious children and love of her life.
Kara was the most beautiful soul that always saw the best in people. She kept her lifelong friends from childhood. Connected with people wherever she went with her warmth and energetic smile. Kara had a forgiving and trusting nature. A true and pure heart of gold that is so rare to find. She was one of those people that to know her was to love her. So many people near and fare will candidly miss her.
She was predeceased by both her parents Tacy Taylor and Thomas Lee Decker as well as her “Grandy” Donald Beideman. Surviving in addition to her Husband Curt Mercer are their three children, Kaleb, Autumn and Amyah Mercer; Her Sister Audra Gurney; Brother Rhys Simpson; Grandmother Emma Beideman; Grandparents William & Joanne Decker, Anthony Polvino; Aunts Cindy Scott, Leeann Murray, Carolyn Andrews, Middy Larson; As well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
A private service of remembrance will be held at Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington Maine on April 15, 2022. For those near and far not attending there will be a live broadcast as well. Memories may be shared in her Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com.
