Farmington - Joseph (Joey) S. Kinsey, 74, of Wilton, went to be with his Heavenly Father in Glory on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, Nov. 26, 1946, a son of Herbert R. and Berenice K. (Opperman) George. Joe worked at Forster Manufacturing Co., Inc. in Wilton for 25 years. Then embarked on his entrepreneurial journey running The Printing Warehouse in Wilton for 21 years with his wife, Quinnale, 4K Storage for 12 years and recently mentoring his Son and Daughter in Law in their business ventures. Joey kept busy in his retirement, working at The Village Flea and managing his Ebay store with over 6500 items currently listed. He was an active person who enjoyed collecting many items including postcards, stamps. He enjoyed playing cribbage on Tuesday nights. He was a gun enthusiast and a member of Wilton Fish & Game as well as the NRA and USCCA. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Farmington Elks BPOE #2430 as well as a member of the Farmington Emblem Club. He was very proud of his 38 years of sobriety he accomplished with the help of the AA community and family support. He was a well-loved and active member of Living Waters Assembly of God Church in Farmington. He served in many capacities, from driving the Bus, a member of the Church board and helping in numerous activities and anything else for the congregation and his church family.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Joey's loss leaves a huge void in all of the lives he touched. But he has left us with many great memories, stories and jokes to tell.
He is survived by his wife, Quinnale (Ladd); They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage; a son, Joe and his wife, Vicky (Kennedy) of Jay; daughter, Christina Brandt and companion David Smith of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Mickayla Gammon and husband, Elijah, Mason Kinsey, Shawn Ganci, Myla Holden and her husband, Shane, and Christa Powers and her companion, Adam Miller; 3 brothers, Barry Kinsey and Brian Kinsey, both of PA and Bruce Kinsey of FL; He was predeceased by a his Mother Berenice, Father Herbert and Brother Michael.
A small gathering for immediate family and close friends will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 1 pm from Living Waters Assembly of God Church, 547 Wilton Road, Farmington where Maine Covid-19 guidelines will be observed limiting in-person attendance to 50 people at any one point in time.
