Obituary for John Daignault

MARLBORO, Mass.—John Claude Daignault, 58, of Livermore Falls, Maine, died of natural causes while driving his truck route for Estes Trucking on Oct. 4, 2022. John was born Oct. 31, 1963 in Newport, Vt., the youngest of 7 children of Claude and Madeline (Gingras) Daignault. He received his education in Lake Region Union High School in Barton, VT.
For many years, he was a dedicated freight truck driver for Estes Trucking. He was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed dining and spending time with family and friends.
He is loved by his wife, Judith (Raymond) Daignault of Livermore Falls; sisters Marjolaine Grant of Jay; Maryse Daignault of Charlestown, NH; Susan Weed and her husband Preston of Wray, Colorado and Lynn LeBlanc and her husband Gerry of Barton, VT. and brothers Francis Daignault and his wife Debbie of West Glover, VT.; Mark Daignault of Orleans, VT. ; a nephew (who was more like another brother) Christopher Grant and his son, Griffin of Jay, many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as a friend and neighbor who was “like family”, Dr. Bruce Peary of Livermore Falls as well as many others who have been supportive with their unconditional love and friendship throughout the years.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday Oct. 22 beginning at 11 AM at the Wiles Remembrance Center 308 Frankllin Road (Rte. 133) Jay. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the conclusion of his memorial visitation at 1 PM.
John called 911 needing medical assistance while on the road in the early morning hours of October 4th, and as was typical of his Golden Rule philosophy and of always looking out for the safety and wellbeing of others, had always opted to be a tissue and organ donor on his license. Because of his generous gifts, championed as well by his next of kin, his wife Judy, John’s gifts have offered hope and healing to others and his selfless gesture in turn, is helping his family and friends to cope with mourning his sudden departure. In keeping with John’s kind and generous spirit, his family suggests remembrance gifts be given to the Franklin Cty. Animal Shelter 550 Industry Road Farmington, Me. 04938 or to the Shelter of one’s choice. Tributes and condolences may be shared in his Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com.
