Obituary for Joan Corson
Searsport - Joan Alice Corson, 71, of Kingfield, passed peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Bayview Manor in Searsport. She was born in Waterville, May 25, 1951, a daughter of George and Bessie (Daggett) Corson and lived in Kingfield until going to a home after her mother's passing several years ago.
Joan worked at Kingfield Wood Products with her mother and aunt until the mill closed. She enjoyed their annual summer vacation in Camden. Her hobbies were embroidery, daily walks with her mom and Aunt Blanche where they would visit with all the neighbors. She also loved babysitting her neighbors young children.
She is survived by Bob and Karen James who looked after her while at Bayview Manor as well as many other cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved Aunt Blanche.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at 11 am at Sunnyside Cemetery in Kingfield. Memories may be shared in her Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com. Cremation care and memorial services are being provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Farmington.
