Obituary for James Dyke (Dyke)
PORTLAND - James W. Dyke, 85, of Unity, Maine passed away December 10th, 2023, after a brief illness. He was born in Livermore Falls on December 18, 1937, a son of the late G. Winston and Dorothy (Brown) Dyke.
After graduating from the University of Maine, Farmington, he became an eighth-grade math teacher. He taught in Skowhegan for 25 years. He later obtained his master's degree from that same university. Upon his retirement he started a craft business called Norridgewock Crafts, with his good friend, Leon Huard.
He is survived by his brother, Peter and his wife Dianne of Turner; a nephew, Darren of Springvale; a niece, Leslie (Dan) Poulin of Arundel; and three great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
