Obituary for Irene "Renie" Lowell

Irene “Renie” Lowell

Born March 10, 1947 in Farmington ME, deceased June 17, 2021 in Portland ME

It is with sadness that the family of Renie Lowell of Wales, Maine must announce her passing. She went peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 74 years of age. She was the daughter of Stillman Ross and Irene LaMance and the eldest of the four Ross girls hailing from the town of Rangeley Maine. She was a graduate of Rangeley High School class of 1966. Renie had many jobs over her life but she was the proudest of driving motor coach for VIP Tour and charter. If you happened to see a phantom bus that drove itself; rest assured that it was Renie behind the wheel, her five-foot frame made it difficult to see her over the wheel. In her later years she worked for Interms where she provided her clients the highest level of home care and the utmost warmth and kindness. After her retirement she spent several years helping her daughter to reopen the Cunningham Farms farm stand. She enjoyed helping customers and provided expert small talk to establish the local small town feeling that a farm stand should have. She was the proudest of her family and children often telling any who would listen all about them. Her family was her world and she shared in their triumphs and sorrows always giving her all to them. As many of you who knew her know well, Christmas was her favorite time of year and she was the perfect vessel for the spirit of giving. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of having her in their lives. She was excited to become a grandmother expecting her first granddaughter to be born in October. She was predeceased by her father Stillman Ross, her mother Irene LaMance, and her brother in-law Thomas Targett. She is survived by her long-time fiancé and Soulmate Blaine Cram of Wales ME, her son Stillman Lowell and his wife Kelly Lowell of Warren NH, her daughter Nancy Cunningham and her husband Charles Cunningham and granddog Lilly of Boothbay ME, her son Peyton Brewer-Ross and his fiancé Rachael Sloat of Bath ME, Nicholas Cram of Wales ME, her sisters Mary Etta Ross-Targett of Rangeley ME, Nancy Hughes of Remington, VA, Brenda Harris and her fiancé Dale Evans of Hampton VA. As well as her many beloved nieces and nephews.
