Dear Dave and family~~We just heard about your son this week and are so saddened by your loss. Please know there are extra thoughts and prayers going up for you. We miss your nearly daily visits, Dave, and Sierra says the newer generation of drivers has a thing or two to learn, since none of them give doggie treats like you did. We know your family means the world to you, and we just wanted you to know we care. Thoughts and prayers~~The Schanz Family in New Vineyard

I remember Ian as an excellent athlete. I enjoyed watching him progress on the basketball court. Coaching him in pee wee baseball, he pulled off the rare feat of an unassisted quadruple play as, with the bases loaded, he caught a line drive, tagged the runners off 1st and 2nd base, and tagged 3rd base, as the runner hadn't tagged up. 4 outs in one inning? Such are the rules of pee wee baseball where everyone bats each inning! I enjoyed reconnecting with Ian in recent years and talking sports on Facebook!
