Obituary for Harold Bean

PORTLAND – Harold A. Bean, 86, of Vienna, died on Thursday May 12 at Maine Medical Center. He was the second generation to be born on the family farm on the Bean Farm Road in Vienna and entered tis world on Dec. 10, 1935, a son of Clarence A. and Hazel (Ham) Bean. As a young boy he attended schools in Vienna and North Vienna. During his high school years, he attended Kents Hill.
On April 10, 1955, he married Marilyn Wadleigh.
Throughout his lifetime, he has enjoyed his life on the farm; from working in the woods to raising meat turkeys and driving the milk truck and owning and operating Bean’s Dairy Farm. He always enjoyed car trips, vising with family and friends and going out to eat.
His is loved by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn of Vienna; their children: three sons: Ervin Bean and his son Troy and wife, Emily and their son Landen; Son: Elden Bean and his wife Pam and their daughter, Jessica Rogers and her husband, Brian, and their children, Dylan, Morgan, and Jacob, their son Jason and wife, Mandy and their children Emma and Abby, and son, Edson Bean; daughter Lisa Webster and husband, Stanley and their three sons Nick Webster and wife Bethany and their children Callum and Wyatt; Nathaniel Webster and Devin Webster and wife Cheryl and their child Brian and anticipating the birth of Harold’s 10th great-grandchild. (On Monday, May 16, 2022, great granddaughter, Vera Ruth, was born,)
He also is survived by his sisters: Louise Hinkley, Glenice (Bill) MacDonald; Florence Gould and Celia Cyr; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, John Hinkley and Jerry Cyr.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137
Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1PM from the Center, with Rev. Laura Church officiating. Committal services will be held at the Center as part of the funeral service. Private family only burial, following services, at The Franklin Cemetery, Tower Road, Vienna.
