Farmington – Grace E. Campbell, 94, of Rangeley, died early Saturday morning at the Sandy River Center in Farmington. She was born, Sept. 16, 1928, the only child of Tedford and Minnie (Ross) Wilbur and graduated from Rangeley High School in 1946.
Grace began her career with the telephone company in 1947 at the Rangeley office as an operator. In 1958, she transferred to the Farmington office. She then transferred to the plant department at the Waterville Office in 1972 where she worked as a field clerk and line assigner retiring in 1978 when she returned to Rangeley.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Bel Tel Retirees, the Rangeley Lakes Historical Society, and the Friends of the Library. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers, and lunches with friends in her retirement. She is survived by several cousins; two close friends, Rudy Davis and Dawn Drexler both of Rangeley.
