Obituary for Edward Jackey

New Sharon - Edward ‘Ed’ Jackey, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in New Sharon on October 10, 2021. Ed was born August 22, 1963 in Elizabeth, NJ to parents Anna and Raymond Jackey, growing up in New Jersey and moving to New Sharon about 25 years ago.

Ed was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman who would travel to New Jersey often to go on fishing trips.

He was an ‘Uncle’ to many of the neighborhood kids in New Sharon, he loved to share stories and had a huge heart. He worked for PSE&G before a motorcycle accident permanently disabled him. He will be missed by many in Maine as well as in New Jersey.

He is survived by his brother Gary Jackey, sister Dawn McInaw, brother-in-law Patrick McInaw. His niece Marissa Kasay and her husband Steve and his niece Megan Froysland and her husband Erik and their daughter Harper. Many cousins, aunts and uncles and lifelong friends. Ed also had many friends from New Sharon that were very special to him.
