Farmington – Edith Maude Kimmick, of New Sharon, passed Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington after a short illness. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, Sept. 24, 1920 and worked for a time as a book keeper and made her home in New Sharon for many years. She and her husband John were long time St. Mark's Members and he was an usher at the 7:30 AM Mass. They lived in Clark on Madison Hill Road where they tended an immense garden every year. Edith was a housewife for most of her life and she loved to bake cookies and sharing them with everyone who came to the family home. Mrs. Kimmick had God's grace to live to be 102 years old and was very active even into the last few years. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Kump of New Sharon; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Shirley of PA. She was predeceased by her son Richard and her son-in-law Al. For those asking, condolence cards may be sent to Mrs. Kimmick's daughter, Ann Kump at 69 Cemetery Rd., New Sharon, Maine 04955-3152. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 6 at 11 am at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington with Father Paul Dumais, officiating.
