Obituary for Denise Adkins

PERU – Denise Marie Adkins, 45, of Peru, unexpectedly passed July 19, 2022
She was born Feb. 19, 1977 in Lewiston, a daughter of Richard Freve and Patricia Ann Piper. Denise graduated from Buckfield High School, a year early to pursue her passion in healthcare. She obtained her certification in Medical Technology and continued her education at the University of Maine, Augusta, receiving her associates degree in Nursing. She dreamed of becoming a nurse practitioner.
Her empathy and compassion helped her excel as a registered nurse. She had been employed at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, as a traveling nurse throughout West Central Maine. She later was employed at Pinnacle Health Care and Rehabilitation in Canton.
She loved to surround herself with friends and family. Family gatherings and cookouts were her time to show off her cooking skills and her ability to make the best out of any situation. Making people laugh and smile was always her talent.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheyenne Bisson; her father, Richard Freve and his fiancé ; her sister, Tracey Pease and her husband, Richard Pease; her brother, Brian Adkins; nephews, Devon and Caleb Pease; niece, Brooklynn Pease including two great-nephews . She was predeceased by her mother and her brother, Dicky Adkins.

Family and friends are invited to call the Wiles Remembrance Center 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine on Tuesday evening, July 26 from 6-7 PM.
Her final resting place and graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 28 at 2:00 PM at the Damon Cemetery in Buckfield.
