Obituary for Daniel Batty III

PERU -- Daniel Rockley Batty III, 15 of Peru passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2021.
Daniel was born on October 25, 2006 at Franklin Memorial in Farmington, to Samantha Mayberry. He attended Mountain Valley High School as a freshman. He was a loving son, devoted brother, genuine friend, beloved grandson, nephew and cousin.
He resided in Peru with his mother, Samantha Mayberry and his buddy, Jason Dolloff. He was a unique young soul who touched so many lives. When Daniel walked into a room, that room lit up by his smile and charismatic nature.
Daniel had a sense of adventure and enjoyed the outdoors, especially "running the dogs" and bear hunting. He had a great love and respect for animals of all sorts, and that love was always reciprocated whether it be the dogs, chickens, or pig - they were always happiest with Daniel around.
Besides hunting, Daniel had a passion for sports, his favorites being basketball and football. He also had an admirable love for babies and children. He was always willing to lend a hand, without being asked, without any hesitation.
Daniel's rare blood type is O-negative. He is an organ doner and will be a hero to many.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Samantha Mayberry (Jason); brother Aiden Batty; dad Joe Abraham; grandparents Dan and Tammy Arthur; Everett and Donna Mayberry, and Val Batty and Lisa Dupil Hodgkins; Auntie Goose (Chris) Aunt Lynn (John) Aunt Pam (Marty) Aunt Wee (Wade) Aunt Kim (David) Aunt Lacey, and Aunt Mindy; cousins Austin, Lexi, Wyman, Wilder, Riley, Rebecca, Dylan and Hannah; and many more various grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held for Daniel on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the American Legion in Rumford for all wanting to attend and share stories and memories about Daniel. Memories may be shared in his Book of Memories at www.wilesrc.com. Cremation care has been provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.
