Obituary for Barbara Dunham
Farmington - Barbara M. (Carter) Dunham, 92, of Farmington, died early Wednesday morning at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born in Farmington, Apr. 9, 1929, a daughter of Raymond and Flora (Sawtelle) Carter , Sr. and married James E. Dunham on Oct. 6, 1945 and they had 11 children. She enjoyed country music, dancing, yard sales, flea markets, and shopping.
She is survived by her children, Judy Wilde and her husband, John of Farmington, Terry Dunham and his wife, Val of Farmington, Trudy Nutting and her husband, David of Farmington, Kevin Dunham and his wife, Linda of Farmington, and Karen James and her husband, Bob of Strong; brother, Raymond Carter, Jr. of Jay; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years; 5 daughters, Donna, Darlene, Doreen, Nellie, and Sheila; and a son, Roy.
Barbara's requested no funeral services and private interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington. The family suggests that those who desire, consider memorial gifts in her memory to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Road, Farmington, ME 04938.
